Our Plan For Filming This Weekend at The Mall

Hi blog! Today we are going to be discussing how we are preparing to film this weekend. We need quite a lot of supplies and preparation for filming. For Saturday we are doing our house scenes. I would say half of the movie is filmed in the house. Out of all three of us we decided to film at my house. We decided to film at my house because it is the closest to the mall which is our location we need to film at Sunday. Since none of us are old enough to drive on our own we have to make driving a priority. Uber and Lyft are available but this time my mom is able to be our transportation. The next thing that we have to worry about are the props. We don't need tons of props luckily, just fake blood and possibly a witch hat. I might have a witch hat from a past Halloween costume. Fake blood should be easy to find because it can be found at most party stores. The plan for Saturday is Stephanie and Anyiah will come over and we will film the house scenes. We also need other friends to play characters. Stephanie and another friend, possibly Paige B, will sleep over so she will already be here for Sunday filming. So the plan for Sunday is that Stephanie, Paige and I will go to Aventura mall and basically just film all the scenes we need to. We need a shot inside the mall, inside a store, and outside in the parking lot. These are mandatory for our movie. We will stay there for a while and once we're done filming there we'll head back to my house. Once we are at my house we can watch over all the footage and make sure we don't need to refilm anything. The editing process will be shown and described in another blog. Bye for now !!

How Our Shots Didn't Work Out....

Hi everybody! However another end of the week where we couldn't get sufficient time together. It is super hard to get together when everybody has all these other activities are going on.Stephanie has been so busy lately with doing her other projects and getting her grades as higher. It has been a struggle to try to juggle it all including everyone's activity outside this class. All of us want to get a good grade on this project though. We all want the best for each other. We also have a lot of stuff going on in there lives as well. Getting together gets pretty hard when we all live 30 minutes away from each other. But we did, however, get about two hours to film all the mall parts. We went to the mall and we asked some stores for permission to film. We got turned down a couple of times but then we finally went to an H&M and they let us film in the store as long as we didn't get any other customers or make a mess. We couldn't get any of the customers on camera or disturb them. It was difficult because there were a lot of people in the store. We waited and waited for a long time for people to go and changed locations many times as well.We got some shots but most of them were very rushed and not very good sound. There was loud music in the store and babies crying in the back, a lot of just background noise. The music would have been good if it was lower but it was much too loud to hear the girl talking. We didn't get any shots to put in the movie so we are gonna try a different mall next weekend and get the house shots at my house.

Filming Blog.... why we couldn't film

Hey, world its Lily. This is the first weekend we have gotten to have time to film by our teachers and to be honest it wouldn't have been a great one. The weekend started off nice and with great conditions to film. But as time pasted through Friday things started to change. The weather started to get worse and worse. It was dark  because the sun had been hiding in the rainy clouds. If we got the opportunity to film Friday it would have been perfect. Since the school we go to is a magnet school we have the chance to come from all over Broward county to attend the school. We all live so far away from each other so it makes meeting up so difficult. Stephanie live in plantations, I lives in Hollywood, and I'm pretty sure Aniyah lives in pompano. We live like 30 minutes away. However, Stephanie is kinda in the middle of both Aniyah and Lily. We always make time for each other and come together and film in the end. Its difficult but we manage. That's why we make such great partners we do anything for each other and help each other out when we need it. We will make time one of these three weekends to film. Personally I'm a little mad that we couldn't get together this weekend. It is a long weekend in fact it is a four day weekend so you think we could've found time to film. We tried to get together but our schedules just weren't going together this weekend. We probably couldn't have filmed anything outside anyways because of the rain. We possibly could have been able to film the parts that are inside.

storyboard blog

Hey world, it's lily! We have finally reach the last and final step of the planning phase: the storyboard. In this part of the planning phase I took the lead. Usually, Aniyah takes care of this part, but we decided to try something new. Aniyah helped me get started on the storyboard and she let me know how this part of the process goes. After that, I went on by herself. I learned well and I have shown great progress with the storyboard. The storyboard puts everything together. It puts together the actions, camera angles and movements, and shots. It maps out every second of the film. The storyboard truly depicts a good image of what our film is going to look like. This google slide will present to you the storyboard.

out of all the parts of this movie, title slides are really important. They are gonna show what we understand and how far we have come in our movie-making process. In today's slides, I am going to take you through just what we have planned the titles to be popping up on the screen. There is gonna be some detail about the location and the font. Also, there will be some telling about the amount of time it is going to be up on the screen. We have to fit a lot of important titles into one short 9intro to a movie but do it well. It has to be there long enough to read but no longer than to take up the whole time. It has to be perfect and if it isn't it could make the whole movie bad. In here we also spoke about the spacing and the contrast.

Planning Blog loaction and schedule

Hi blog it's Lily! For this blog we are going to be talking about some of the components to filming this movie. Instead of just using blogger as usual we are using google slides. The first slide is just an introductory slide saying what I am going to be doingl. The second slide is the shedule. We need a shedule to keep everything in order and make sure we do everything in a timely manner. The third slide are the participants. This is basically just showing who is going to be in the movie. The fourth slide is to insure that we are safe and taking the proper prosedures. Lastly, the fifth and sixth slides are about where the scenes in the movie will be taking place. Thats all for now! It is officially that time of year to start getting out script and background work together. We have been working so hard o this project to make it the best one ever. We have all come so far in the last year learning new skills. We have learned to edit, filming and just working as a group better. We are so excited to be able to share our script with you guys. This is gonna be your little sneak peek into our movie. Though we have been working super hard we still haven't got all the details down pat. But I promise the second we do we will let you guys know. In this blog, I will be going through all the sound effects that will be going into the blog. I will also we giving you guys the script that is gonna be in the movie. After this blog and the one before this, you will have a good understanding of what exactly our movie is gonna consist of.

We have officially began the first planning step in the making of our movie. Our group and I have done a lot of discussing on how we want the movie to go. It took a lot of time and thinking because they were many different aspects to consider. We have to figure out what angles, movements, sounds, and editing techniques to use. We also had to figure out the meaning behind each angle, movement, sound, and editing technique and how it would not only grasp the audience attention, but also how would it keep them engaged. We eventually came up with great ideas of how we want it to go and it all connects very well. We have created a shooting script that maps out what will go on in each and every scene. Although, only the angles, movements, and editing techniques are planned out, in upcoming blogs, there will more insight into other details about the movie. Thank you for reading and blog you later!
