CCR for final project Karma

Hi blog!!! Today I'm going to be talking about the process that went into doing the CCR for this final project: Karma. First I wrote down all the questions and answers including a script for my mom and I. We placed the computer behind where the camera was and we used that because we couldn't remember the script. Then we started filming. Filming defiently took more than a couple tries becasuse we had many distractions. Once we blocked out all the distractions and got all the nerves out it was smooth sailing from there. We filmed and then I airdropped it to my computer. After I edited it on iMovie and then uploaded it to YouTube. After that I uploaded it to google slides then to blogger.

Final Project: KARMA

Hi blog!! In this blog I'm going to be talking about the process of making our movie Karma! This was  for sure the hardest project for me. I had filmed and acted in the last projects but it was nothing compared to this one. So many elements went into this movie. When we were first told about the movie we all wanted to do a horror or comedy genre. We decided in the end to mix both genres!! We wanted to do something different, people usually don't mix the two. We decided the plot of the movie then it was time to get to work. The first thing we had to do was planning and the storyboard. The storyboard was reallt diffiult for me to complete. It was 10 pages! In the end it was worth it though because it really helped though-out filming the movie. Next was filming but before we did that we needed to decide who to cast for our movie. We had two parts we needed filled. We ended up chosing my mother to play the mom and paige, our friend also in media studies, to play the main characters friend. After everything was sorted out it was on to filming. We first filmed at my house. We got the shots we needed then drove to our next location, the mall. The mall wasn't crowded that day so we got lucky! We filmed the shots we needed then drove back home. These were the final scenes that we needed for our movie. We filmed several retakes and then everyone went back home. Editing was the hardest part of this project because this movie needed so much of it! We needed the titles, the audio clips, the correct footage, and much more. We edited on iMovie and the end product was exactly how we envisioned. We were so happy with the results! We turned it in and completed the CCR and we were done. What I learned throughout this project was be patient. A lot of our shots took many redos and were very time consuming. But the end result will always be better if u put tons of effort into it!

Surf Crazy Music Video and What I Learned.

Hi blog its Lily!! Today I'm going to be talking about what I learned thought out filming this second project, the music video! When we first heard we were going to be doing a music video we were ecstatic. Personally I love music and dancing so this was an awesome project for me. The first thing we needed to decide was what song and genre we wanted to do. We either wanted to do pop or hip-hop. Those were our favorite genres of music so we figured we might aswell enjoy the music while filming. We first chose Say My Name by Destinys Child because the group has 3 members and we 3 members. But we soon realized that that song wouldn't be the best choice because the location the music video took place in would be hard to replicate. In the end we decided on Surf Crazy from the movie Teen Beach Movie. This song is very energitic and fun so we loved it. We started planning and doing the storyboard. We decided for location to film at the beach because it made sense considering the entire movie was filmed at the beach. When it was time to film we headed to the beach. It ended up pouring rain so we barely got any shots but we tried our hardest to make the best out of the situation. Another problem was Anyiah our other group member had sprained her ankle so she wasn't allowed in the water. She ended up just filming us.We went another day and got all the footage we needed. While filming we created a quick dance to put more personality into the video. Overall the filming process took a while and many, many shots but in the end we got everything we needed. The editing process was probably the easiest for the music video out of all the other projects. We just put the title on the beginning, put the clips of footage together and finally, put in the music. What I learned from this project was make the best out a situation. We didn't think going to that beach that day it was gonna rain but we made the best out of it and ultimately had a bunch of fun!

Gatorade Commercial and what I learned.

Hi blog. Today I'm going to be talking about my journey since the beginning of the year started. In the beginning of the year I was already late to the class because my gudinace counselor said I could should take more AICE classes. I wasn't to sure about this class at first. I got into class and they were already working on grammar for film, I caught up pretty quickly. The first project came around and we picked our groups. Luckily I ended up with the best group members possible, this makes my whole journey much more fun and easier. We decided to do a Gatorade Commercial for our first project and to be honest I wasn't even sure where to start. We got to work planning and doing everything we needed to do beforehand. After we were done planning it was time to film. Filming was the most difficult part for me. I didn't know how to work the camera and my acting skills weren't the best. I did drama for 3 years in middle school but It didn't really help me in the long run. Our first day of filming when we got to our location we already ran into a problem, there was tons of people on the track and field, but we ended up finding our own place to film. Another problem arose when we tried to set up our tripod, a piece was gone! We went back to the classroom to get another piece and we thought our problems were finally over. We thought wrong. We tried to turn on the camera and it was dead! So yet again we went up to the classroom and got another camera. Filming was smooth sailing from that point on. Editing was pretty easy but it wasn't my strongest suit either. My teammates and I worked together thoughout the editing process. The movie was finally done. We submitted it and did the final CCR. It was on to the next project. Overall I learned how to work the camera, basic skills of editing, and how to act.
