Filming Blog: Sunday at The Beach

Sunday was our first uninterrupted filming day. As you know last blog I explained that our day was cut short due to the rain. The shots we got from that day were also not usable footage. It was just plain bad footage. Sunday wasn't all sunshine and rainbows either though, no pun intended haha. The first challenge that was brought to our attention even before Sunday was we didn't know when we were gonna meet up. I was out town in Key West when we could've had the chance to film but luckily I got back Friday. Anyiah was out of town the whole break. Regardless she wouldn't be able to film because to say the least the sand and ocean don't mix well with her cast. Stephanie was free the whole break but we obviously couldn't just have one person in the music video. So we finally decided that we could film with just Stephanie and I on Sunday. Sunday came around and even more issues popped up like our friends/extras couldn't come and we didn't have the proper props we had in mind to shoot the music video. We also only had an hour to film because our plans for filming were being cut short by our parents. Under the circumstances I believe our music video is the best it can be. The first thing we did when we got to the beach was set up the camera and started planning our first shot. We did pan shots, wide shots, close ups, and many more. The more difficult part of this day was creating a dance to do. Music videos usually have dances in it so we figured why not. I'm not the best dancer but it was fun dancing in the ocean while trying not to get tumbled over by the waves. We did multiple shots of the dance and once we were done with that it was onto the next shot. We got shots of seagulls and the beautiful ocean. The song choice was fun and upbeat  so we decided to do some cartwheels to put a little movement into the video. The last shot was us falling into the ocean after doing the final dance. We packed up the stuff once we got all the shots we needed and left with memories and great footage of a nice day at the beach.
