Editing: the commercial (or not.....)

Today was the 2nd day of filming for our group. We got extra time to film because of all the difficulties that were presented last class, including, the camera dying and the tripod not having a piece. Before we got into class Anyiah, Stephanie, and I were talking about how we needed to get everything done and if we didn't we were gonna be more behind then we already were and how we don't have as much time as last time. The first thing we did when we got into to class was ask to get changed. Mr. Katz said we can sign the camera out and then we could go. Once we walked out of the classroom we immeditaly faced a problem. The locker rooms were locked. We had to go into the office and ask a security person to open it up for us. The guard said we werent suppose to be the locker room but let us in anyways. We walked onto field and saw that there werent as many people filming this time. We also realized that we lost all our footage and had to redo everything. Stephanie set up the camera and tripod and we were good to go.
So the first shot we did was simple and it was just us streching. It took a couple shots because we kept laughing but in the end we got it. Stephanie moved the angle then it was time for the next shot. This one we were doing was just me running to show i was warming up. Next shot was Anyiah running and doing the same shot and angle just different person. Stephanie moved the angle yet again and this time it was us starting the race. We both got into our starting positions and then we ran. What was comign up was the most important shot of the commercial, me passing out. We didn't want to use the same padding/mat as last time so I ran into the area where the football players practice takaling and i got one of the padded dummys to fall on. We set up the shot so that you couldn't see the dummy on the ground and we were ready to film.
This was the hardest shot to film for sure. It took several tries because you could see the mat in multiple. But once we got the perfect shot it was worth all the takes. The next scene was Anyiah continuing running and winning the race. After that she relizes that i feel to the ground and runs to get something out of her bag(its the gatorade.) The next shot is me smelling then drinking the gatorade and getting up energizied and ready to run. After this we only had a couple more shots left. The secong to last one was Anyiah and I starting the race and winning. The last shot was after our victory. It was us each taking a sip of gatorade and ending the commercial with a highfive. Once we got back into the classroom we signed out our camera and tripod and got changed shortly after. We needed to hurry up though cause even though we couldn't edit (because the site was down,) we still needed to complete our blogs. Some computers werent working and the working ones were taken so it took a while to find a computer but once i did i got to work. I didn't end up finishing it in class but I'm doing it now because luckly Mr.Katz allowed be to turn it in a little later. So thats all for today! Thank you for reading! Bye!
